Sell your Redundant Hardware - Whilst Saving the Planet
Across the UK, we find businesses of all sizes experience difficulties when deciding what to do with their no-longer-needed IT assets.
We offer the reassurance of a highly secure process, whilst you can also take pride in helping to protect the environment.
Our aim is to maximise the value of your redundant IT with a view to return the highest level rebate.
Nearly 80% of our refurbished PC's and laptops are sold into the Education and Charity sectors and we are now in the top 20% of Amazon's best Renewed resellers.
Hardware Associates was established almost 25 years ago as a specialist in refurbishing, upgrading and reselling redundant IT equipment. We offer full asset track and trace, data destruction to top UK security levels and complete compliance with GDPR protocols.
Any electrical equipment is handled and disposed of in accordance with the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2006.
On average, 380kg of CO2 equivalent is released thorugh the manufacturing process of a laptop.
240kg of fuel and 22kg of chemicals are used, on average, to manufacture a computer.
The majority of discarded computers are sent to landfills overseas in Africa and South East Asia. In the UK, approximately 1 million tonnes of electrical waste is disposed of each year.
As a refurbisher of IT since 1997, we help to combat these environmental issues. By choosing Hardware Associates to handle your redundant IT, you're playing your part too.
You'll be reducing demand for components from Asia
New computer equipment is mainly manufactured in Asia and therefore has a high carbon footprint.
All of our refurbished systems are manufactured in the UK by reusing the component parts originally manufactured in Asia. As a result, our refurbished machines have a much lower carbon footprint because component part production has already taken place, and the number of miles our refurbished machines travel is far fewer.
